Term 2 Review.

Math in term 2

This term in math, my class has been working on statistics. Some of the things we have worked on is stem and leaf graph, box and whisker plot, scatter plots, mean, median and mode, sampling and analysing data. I liked this terms math because I learnt a lot and I could carry out my work easily.

Science Fair

This term was science fair for the whole school. My idea was to test peoples adrenaline while playing a fighting scene in a video game but my teacher said that wasn't good enough. She also said that to my friend Storm and we were both stuck for ideas. Miss C gave us the idea of creating an online, free game for blind children so we decided that we would do it together. It was really hard programming it together but we made it in the end. We made a game called, "Shoot the Invisible Can!" We didn't get a yellow sticker though because we didn't test it on blind people.

Click Cards

This term, Mrs Collville made a new reward system in our school. Click Cards. They are cards that you put your name and room number on and you get a click everyday. There are 40 clicks on a click card and every time you fill one up, you get a band of your house colour. But, if you are away for a day you miss a click. If you get a formal warning, (Which means you have been on bad behaviour) you don't get a click. Of you had 100% attendance this term and never got a formal warning you would get your band last week on friday like I did.

Writing in term 2

This term in writing we have been learning about the different sentences, complex, simple and compound. A complex sentence is made up of an independent clause, (a sentence that can stand up on its own), a subordinating conjunction, (a word that "glues" sentences together) and a dependent clause. (a sentence that can't stand up on its own). A compound sentence has two independent clauses, and then one of the FANBOYS, (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) and then another independent clause. A simple sentence is just a independent clause with a topic, verb and it has to be a complete thought.
