PEEL Paragraph #3.

Rimu is the best syndicate at TIS because they look after each other. First of all, there are no big bullies in Rimu. At every lunch time everyone gets along and no one gets teased or pushed around. Secondly, no one is every by themselves with work. People make sure of this all the time by asking if anyone needs help and make sure everyone understands what they're doing. Finally, everyone makes sure everyone is doing what they want to at lunch. At lunch, if someone is sitting by themselves, they will be asked by a Rimu student to join in on there game. And so, you now know why Rimu is the best syndicate in TIS.

PEEL Paragraph writing.

Why Mr Brian Diver is such a successful principal.

Mr Brian Diver is a successful principal because he is a very organised man.To start with, he is always on time. When Mr Diver had a lot of visitors, he was still on time to set up the people packing the A.I.M.s bags. Next his office is immaculate, no mess to be seen. When you go in there, it's like a brand new building. Also he never trips up on his words. Like in assembly, he talks for five minutes but know exactly what to say. Therefore, you can tell Mr Diver is a very organised man.

Explain MMP (Mixed Member Proportional)

The voting system in New Zealand uses the Mixed Member Proportional, MMP. In this system, everybody gets two votes, one for the party vote and one for the electorate of your region.

Party Vote: In parliament there is 120 seats, it goes on what percent of votes your party gets, thats the percent of seats you get. If you get under 5%, your party will not get in but, if you have someone from your party who gets into an electorate seat you will get the percent of seats your got with an electorate seat. To get into government, you have to get more then 50% of the votes. If you have the most, but don't get over 50%, you need to make a co-alition with other partys to hit the 50% marker.

NZ Political Party.

The civilian party policies.

  • Declare New Zealand’s independence from Hamilton.
  • Establish a space program, and become the first nation in Australasia to send a man to the moon; not to explore it, just someone we don’t like.
  • Reform the tax system so that it rewards success and punishes failure. Ensure that the bulk of taxes are aimed at the greatest source of poverty in New Zealand: the poor.
  • Remove the monarchy and become an independent banana republic.
  • Close the pay gap between men and women by working to reduce men’s wages.
  • Alleviate poverty amongst children by giving every poverty-stricken child a llama as a means to a basic income.
  • End discrimination against social majorities. No more special services just for Maori; no more car parks just for disabled people; no more hip operations just for people who need hip operations.
  • Bring ultra-fast broadband access to the majority of rural New Zealand by 2016 and dial-up to Invercargill by 2017.
  • Replace New Zealand’s national anthem with the theme song from the 1996 film Space Jam, by Quad City DJs. A Maori version of Space Jam shall be composed to be sung alongside the English version.
  • Ice cream.
8 things you have to have to create a political party in New Zealand.

  • An acceptable party name (and any abbreviation).

  • Satisfactory evidence of at least 500 eligible members.
  • Statutory declarations from its party secretary concerning membership, intention to contest general elections and advising of any component parties.
  • Party membership rules showing what is required for current financial membership, and candidate selection rules which provide for the democratic involvement of members in the process.
  • An auditor (or person who has agreed to be auditor when the party is registered).
  • A party secretary with a postal address and contact details.
  • Either the secretary, or a sitting MP who is a current financial member of the party, to make the application.
  • $500 application fee.

    Politics Policies.

    National:

Good: Boost defence spending by $535 million over four years from Budget 2014.
I think this is a good policy because it takes a lot of crime off the streets if the police are better equipped.

Bad: Maintain the Racing Safety Development Fund – giving $1 million a year to race clubs around the country.
It's a HUGE waste of money compared to giving it to schools.

    Affecting me:
Encourage neighbouring schools working in densely populated areas to work together to share facilities, infrastructure, and capacity.
This affects me because other schools might use our facilities.

    Labour:

Good: Labour will give our kids more one on one time with their teachers by reducing class sizes.
I think this is good because it gives kids more chance to have 1 on 1 time with teachers to help with learning.

Bad: Make GP visits and prescriptions free for people aged 65 and older.
I think this is bad because Retired people usually have a lot of money

Affecting me: Commit $183 million to a comprehensive Youth Employment Package to ensure all New Zealanders under the age of 20 are in work, education or training.
This affects me because it will help me get a job and good education easier.

    Internet Mana:

Good: Internet MANA will introduce a government-funded breakfast and lunch programme into low decile schools to ensure all children are fed and able to learn each school day.
I think this is a good policy because it will ensure that poor children will have a focused day at school, learn and have a proper meal everyday.

Bad: Internet MANA would work to stabilise hours of work and increase the minimum wage from the $14.25 an hour at present to the living wage, currently $18.80.
This policy is good because people will get more money but it's bad because it will shut businesses down because they're paying to much to their employees.

Affecting me: Internet MANA will invest $50 million over 5 years to give Internet access to all New Zealanders who can’t otherwise afford it. A further $200 million over 5 years will fund community-led investment in improving Internet access for households outside the main cities.
This will affect me because it will help all my friends, family and I get internet for work, which will help out a lot.

    Mud Planet.

Two weeks. Two weeks we have been on this, "place". Planet 00624. Doesn't have a name yet, but it definitely has a nickname! Mud World, because thats exactly what it is. We came to search discover, even though this place is disgusting! I guess America wants EVERY planet there is. Well at least I have my two friends, Oliver and Ryan. Ryan's the brain of all this technological planet stuff and Oliver is the excited explorer.

We want to go back home now but our ships damaged due to a stupid landing. So we decided to go for a BIG walk see if mud wasn't the only thing on this planet. We were hoping to find at least something, something that would repair our spaceship. Yeah I don't think so but who cares we're not going back home anyway. It was only after a couple days of walking when I realised a shadow. Not a human shadow, something, bigger. I turned and saw nothing. Then I looked down.

There was a huge slithering snake thingy. Getting bigger, closer and faster. "TIME TO GO" I shouted and we all ran for our lives we were going to be ok for now but I tripped! I got up but it was to close! Then it came, and helped me? What was this? Well it looks like a lonely old creature that just wanted a Friend.
