Virtual tours.

  • A virtual tour is an online site that can show you around a building, place or anything pretty much. You can access them easily on the internet and they're easy to use. Some other good things is that you can see heaps of different points of views with just a click. Some not very good things that sometimes they can be outdated because no one has taken new pictures yet or the satellite hasn't come around again. Another con is that you’re not really there. You’re not, in the moment e.g if you wanted to see what London looked like from somewhere else. You can online to this site, LondonTour, but it's just a still picture. You can't see the place living. But that really doesn't matter if you just wanted to, see a museum, or just look at a hotel to stay at.

Life Ed Movie.

Reflection
For each heading explain how well this aspect was done
  • what was done well
  • what wasn’t done well
  • what you would improve if you had more time

Sound quality: Our sound was okay all though the actors could've talked a little louder but it was good because being inside there was not a lot of background noise. If we did this again I'd make sure the actors talk louder.

Camera skill: My camera skill wasn't that good because of the steadiness but it got better at the end when Ryan took over. We could've done some more angles so thats what i'd do next time.

Acting: The actors did a pretty good job at going with the flow of the video. They did need to breathe and act a little more natural.

Editing: Our editing was good. It was done twice and we had to vote to choose who's to use. We could improve the

Poem: Our poem was good although very short. We could've added a little more in there but I think it delivered the message so it's good enough for me.

Quality of the life education message in your movie (the Script): realism, was it a good message?
I don't think it was a very popular message which is okay. I think we could've used it a little more in our video.

Teamwork: At first it was REALLY bad with girls we didn't know that well but then we got to know them better and ended up making one of the 3 top movies! In the end we got over each other and made a good movie.

Internet Forums.

What is an internet forum?
A chat room website for an online site, game or anything where people write in posts and ask questions and talk about the game or site that the discussion is based on.

Have you ever posted on a forum? Explain.
No, I've never posted on a forum.

What is a thread?
A thread is a post that someone has written down that anyone can see. If it is a question then others can search there question and it might be answered already.

What is the forum administrator's job?
A forum administrator makes sure everyone is following the rules and keeps everything in hand.

Find a forum and provide a link for:

-Minecraft
-Rugby
-A topic your interested in: COD Advanced Warfare

What do you think the rules for posting on a forum are?
No writing questions that've already been written.
No abusive or racist language.

What do you think the consequences are for breaking the forum rules?
Banned from the forum and can't write anything.

Social Dance Photo Editing.

Enlargment

What 2 things do you always need to say to describe an enlargement?
The Scale factor and centre of enlargement.

What does centre of enlargement mean?
The point on the grid on which the lines connected to the outer points of the triangle meet and then expand from that point.

What is a scale factor?
The scale factor is the number of times bigger you have enlarged the shape.

Explain how to work out the scale factor on a grid, and with no grid. Use diagrams you have screenshot from the myimaths lesson.
On a grid, you can look at the number of square on at least 1 angle of the shape, then, (as an example) you double each side and if it is the same as the enlarged square then you know your scale factor would be 2.

What happens to the angle sizes in the corner of the shape when you enlarge it?
Nothing, on a triangle they always have to add up to 180°

From the Shadows Recount.

From the Shadows is something when we go into the Life E.D Bus and learn about drugs. This is a recount of what I learned.

Introduction:
Drugs, There are a lot of different drugs. Some are legal, some, illegal. But whatever drug you have or take, it's going to change the way your body works. Drugs can be taken in many different ways. One of those ways are smoking and is probably one of the most known ways of taking drugs.

Alcohol:
People may not class Alcohol as a drug but it really is. Did you know, adults can only break down one standard glass of Beer, Wine and Spirits per hour. The standard glass size if different for these three because they have different levels of alcohol. Beer being an average of 4-7, wine 12-15 and spirits 30-40. Usually when people are listing drugs they don't say alcohol but remember they can.

Legal and Illegal drugs:
Some drugs are legal because they are used in medicines like pretty much every medicine there is now! A drug is something you consume that isn't oxygen, water or food and it changes your body. Thats why there is illegal drugs because they change your body for the worse. Illegal drugs are put into classes because some can be worse then others. Michael explained to us that a lot of 13 year olds start with glue, then marijuana and then something worse.

From the Shadows poem.

Addiction.

As much as I would like to tell you, I can't.
You are taking a little more everyday.
You think it's getting better, but it's not.
It's getting worse in every way.

Everyone around you,
telling you to stop!
But you're to busy trying,
to get away from the cops.

You need to get the money,
the dealers are getting angry.
But your only friend you have in life is me,
and that is not very manly.

So if I could give a message to you,
do you know what I would say?
Dealers, cops are not the enemy,
your only enemy is me.

Solving multiplication with lines.

This is multiplication with lines. -->

The forward slashes are for the 12 and the backslashes for the 53.
There are three forward slashes for the 12.
one for the one a space and then another two for the 2 in 12. For 53 there are five for the five, a space and then three for the three. After you have done this with any multiplication, you separate the lines, (The curvy lines) then count up the dots/ intersection points inside each section. In this example there are 5 in the first, 13 in the second and six in the third. But you can't have more then 10 in one. So for the 13, you move the 1 up. Which makes the five a six.

But there are some pros and cons about this:
Pros:

  • Easy to work out.
Cons:
  • Big numbers makes WAY to many lines.

Translation

  1. Explain what a translation is.
A translation is when you move something from one place to another.

2. Explain how a vector works. What does it look like? What does the top number indicate? What does the bottom number indicate?
A vector works by giving the coordinates for something to move. The top number is to move
left (Negative) or right, (Positive)   The bottom number is for Down, (Negative) or Up, (Positive)

3. Give a real life example of when translation is used.
When people move buildings, they need coordinates to know where to put it.

Is the book disappearing?

Over the years, hard cover books are very slowly being taking over by E-books. Last year Hard cover books made a 10% rise in sales and e-books down down 0.2% (forbes.com) Also a survey last year showed that nearly 70% of people with books think hard cover books won't die out until after 2016. (infodocket.com) Josh Catone thinks printed books will never die out because of their physical beauty, provenance, collectable and others in this article (Mashable.com)

From all of this information, I think that the book will still be here for a while, and e-books have a few years before catching up and being more popular then printed, hard cover books.

Drug research: LSD

LSD is a Class A drug that is a very high risk. LSD is sold in tablets "microdots," capsules or gelatine squares "Window Panes." Sometimes it is absorbed to paper then sold in cartoon character drawing squares. LSD is made by putting chemicals together in a dark room. The drug is taken just by eating it. The drug can make people delusional, depressed and very emotional.

  1. What 3 things do you need to say to describe a rotation?
1. Where the centre of rotation is.
2. How much it is turned through.
3. Whether the rotation is clockwise or anticlockwise.

  1. Explain what centre of rotation means
The centre of rotation is the point of the grid that the shape turns around.

  1. Now use these 3 things to describe the rotation on Page 1 of the myimaths lesson (i.e. describe the rotation of the triangle)

Rotational Symmetry

In your own words explain what rotational symmetry is.
Rotational symmetry is when a shape can rotate and become itself again in more then two degrees.

A shape has an order of rotational symmetry of 2. What does this mean?
It can rotate 360° but can make the same shape in two positions.

How is rotational symmetry different from line symmetry?
Line symmetry will always be symmetric if you rotate it but rotational symmetry has a number of orders that it will be symmetric.

What do you do to check if a shape has rotational symmetry?
Rotate it and if comes into symmetry more then once, it is rotational symmetry.

Find pictures of 3 real life objects which have rotational symmetry (not shapes, objects e.g. foods, logos)
